Updated over a week ago

It is important to be aware of the difference between editing and rescheduling an appointment as a lot of our users get confused between the two. This article will help clear any confusions you may have.

This article includes:

Editing the appointment

You may wish to edit an appointment, to make changes such as the appointment type or the specialist. Or you simply need to adjust the room for the appointment. Something, which does not affect the client's appointment time or date. Editing the appointment will display the changes within your calendar, however, this will not trigger a new SMS reminder to the client.

Should you require a new SMS to be sent out to the client, we recommend rescheduling the appointment instead or proceeding with a manual SMS.

Rescheduling an appointment

Rescheduling an appointment is most common when a client needs to change the date or/and time of the appointment. In these cases, it is important to use the 'reschedule' button in edit mode, or when right-clicking onto the appointment in the calendar. When using the reschedule function, a new SMS Reminder is being sent out to the client, avoiding any confusion for the upcoming appointment.
