Setting up SMS reminder template

Create an SMS appointment reminder template

Updated over a week ago

Sending an SMS reminder before appointments can significantly reduce no-shows and cancellations in your practice. We've got you covered with a default template that you can easily customise to suit your needs!

💡 Only Supervisors can create/edit SMS appointment reminder templates

💡 Make sure to enable the Send appointment reminders in clients' timezone option in the interface settings so that the reminders state the appointment time in the client's timezone

💎 By default, the SMS Appointment Reminder sent to the client will show in the practitioner's timezone. If you would prefer the time sent to be in the client's timezone, reach out to support via Live Chat or email us at support@coreplus.com.au, and we can enable this feature for you.

Setting up an SMS Template

From the Dashboard, click Setup > Settings > SMS Reminder Template

Placeholders

When creating your template you have the option to use Placeholders.

Placeholders populate applicable content that is listed in the appointment details into the SMS reminder.

As an example, if you were to use the &location& placeholder, the location of that specific appointment will populate within the SMS reminder in place of the placeholder.

Time Frame

You can then select the time frame in which the SMS reminder will be sent to the client.

Once you've finished setting your SMS reminder template up, click Save Template.

💡The character limit for SMS' is 1000, billed per 160 characters.

💡 If you are using Telehealth by coreplus, you can use this guide here to set up your template accordingly

💡 If you'd like to cancel or prevent future SMS reminders from being sent to clients, click here!
