Linking an appointment for an invoice is a very important reconciliation process.
In this article, we will walk you through how to link an appointment to your invoice. This is imperative, as it can cause issues if payment is applied to the wrong invoice, thus potentially meaning, an older appointment is now still outstanding and no new funds can be allocated to the correct appointment. Linking appointments correctly will stop these issues from occurring.
Linking an appointment to an invoice
1. From your client's file, click Invoicing, click on Actions then Edit for the invoice you would like to apply the appointment to.
2. Navigate to the Consultation information
3. From here you will find the Link to Calendar Appointment dropdown.
4. You will be presented with the most relevant date and all other dates below, select the date that applies
5. Press Update invoice
Unlinking an appointment to an invoice
1. From your client's file, click Invoicing, click on Actions then Edit for the invoice you would like to unlink the appointment to.
2. Navigate to the Consultation information
3. From here you will find the Link to Calendar Appointment dropdown.
4. You will be linked to the date that you do not want
5. Press the dropdown, select the blank space instead of a date
6. Press Update invoice
7. Navigate back to the Consultation information > Link to Calendar Appointment
8. Now you can select the date that applies
9. Press Update invoice
