How to add new COVID-19 and Telehealth item codes into your coreplus account for claiming

The department of Human Services has added new item codes to the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) from March 11th 2020 to assist all Australians, including vulnerable groups such as the elderly, those with chronic conditions and Indigenous communities, from the coronavirus (COVID-19)

These items can be found here

These items are claimable from 13 March 2020 and will be added to the department of Human Services' MBS XML and MBS Online as soon as possible.


The below steps will show you how to add these to your coreplus account for claiming:

1. From the Dashboard, click on Setup then Settings

2. Click Service Types

3. Click Create Service

4. Enter the item code, fee and description then click Save
